[Saba Sports News] According to French media reports, the legal committee of the French Professional Football League has ruled that Paris Saint-Germain must pay Kylian Mbappe €55 million in back wages. This amount includes Mbappe’s salaries and moral bonuses for April, May, and June of this year, plus a €36 million bonus that was supposed to be paid in February, totaling €55 million. Previously, the legal committee hoped for mediation between the two parties, but Mbappe’s side refused to mediate. Mbappe’s agent stated, “My client only wishes to be paid for his work, just like any other player in the same situation and any employee who has completed a fixed-term contract. Labor laws should be respected.” Paris Saint-Germain argued that they had reached a verbal agreement with Mbappe not to pay this amount, and several witnesses can attest to this, including head coach Luis Enrique. This summer, Mbappe joined Real Madrid as a free agent, and Paris Saint-Germain did not receive any transfer fee; they believe Mbappé violated their gentleman’s agreement.
