Sports News] Manchester United recently made an official announcement stating
that the club’s season ticket prices for the 2024-25 season will see a 5%
increase. This marks the second consecutive price hike for season tickets,
following an unchanged pricing structure for 11 consecutive seasons. The club
had previously implemented a 5% increase in the 2022-23 season. Last year,
Manchester United had stated that they would absorb 50% of the inflation costs.
In an email sent to season ticket holders, the club explained that the price
adjustment is necessary to ensure the club’s financial sustainability and to
support investments in the team and stadium. The increase also accounts for the
continued rise in operating expenses during match days at Old Trafford.
Additionally, Manchester United plans to renovate the executive seats in the
Stretford Stand for the upcoming season and allocate this area to ordinary
season ticket holders. Furthermore, the club will reserve 500 “Youth
Season Ticket” seats for fans aged 16-25, with an average ticket price of
£16 per game. It remains to be seen how Manchester United fans will react to
this news.
