[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United has recently cut staff Christmas benefits to reduce club costs. Reports say that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS have made significant cuts, replacing the £100 annual bonus previously provided by the Glazer family with £40 vouchers for Marks & Spencer. This move has left some staff very dissatisfied, with one disappointed employee stating, “Things are worse now.” Another said, “At least the Glazer family prioritized the staff’s families.” Others believe that Manchester United’s layoffs of 250 people have left many long-serving staff without jobs, while those remaining have to work harder for the same pay. One employee commented, “That’s £40 more than I expected.” Previously, Manchester United would hold a Christmas party for 1,100 staff, but the club’s management has now decided to cancel the Christmas party, believing it inappropriate to hold one after a year of layoffs. It remains to be seen how Manchester United fans will react to this.
