[Saba Sports News] Recently, Inter Miami manager Javier Mascherano said that his actions after receiving a red card did not violate any rules. In the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal, Inter Miami defeated Universidad de Guadalajara 2-1. Mascherano received a red card during halftime, but in the second half, he sat on the stands close to the field and directed the team via his phone. Mascherano first said, “The place where I sat complies with the rules; it is part of the stands. It just so happens that the stands at Inter Miami’s home stadium are very close to the pitch, and I wanted to be as close as possible. This has happened many times and will continue to happen. I followed the rules and didn’t break any.” Mascherano added that he called the video analyst while on the stands, and there are two video analysts on the high stands who film the game. In modern football, communication between video analysts and coaches is common, as they can see more and clearer details from higher up.
