Mascherano received a red card during halftime, but in the second half, he sat on the stands close to the field and directed the team via his phone. Mascherano first said, “The place where I sat complies with the rules; it is part of the stands. It just so happens that the stands at Inter Miami’s home stadium are very close to the pitch, and I wanted to be as close as possible. This has happened many times and will continue to happen.
