[Saba Sports News] Chelsea has issued an official statement confirming that the FA has contacted Mykhailo Petrovych Mudryk regarding a positive drug test. According to British media, due to the pending results of the B sample, Mudryk remains suspended and cannot train with Chelsea. It was previously reported that the substance found in Mudryk’s A sample was meldonium, which the player denies using, attributing it to sample contamination. Meldonium is clinically used to treat angina and myocardial infarction and has been listed as a prohibited substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) since January 1, 2016, due to its potential to enhance physical endurance. In 2016, tennis star Maria Sharapova was banned for two years after testing positive for meldonium. Mudryk has hired the Morgan Sports Law firm to handle his case, and Chelsea has provided support. The firm previously represented Paul Pogba in his appeal, which ultimately reduced his original four-year ban to 18 months.
