[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, Jamal Musiala was photographed covering his face with both hands after speaking with his rehabilitation coach at the training ground, sparking concerns over his recovery progress. Musiala, who is usually cheerful and relaxed, appeared serious and somber throughout the encounter, lacking his usual energy and looking visibly low-spirited. Midway through their conversation, Musiala suddenly raised both hands and tightly covered his face; his body language conveyed frustration, dejection and disappointment, with his mood clearly poor. After the pair sat and talked for around 20 minutes, rehabilitation coach Simon Martinello stood up first, gently patted the talented playmaker on the shoulder, offered a few words of comfort, and then returned to the players’ accommodation area. Musiala remained alone on the terrace, passing the time on his phone until 10:52, when he finally got up and went back inside. Even while alone, he continued to look downcast, showing no signs of easing up.
The editor believes that behind this unusual scene lies a series of recent setbacks in Musiala’s road to recovery. In fact, the post-operative pain reaction has dealt a huge blow to him. As early as July 2025, he missed the FIFA Club World Cup due to a fractured calf. He only returned from injury this January, and just as he was gradually regaining his form, he was once again plagued by injury.
