[Saba Sports News] Myles Turner isn’t passing up the chance to take a jab at the New York Knicks.
Following the Indiana Pacers’ win over the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals, Turner took to Instagram to celebrate—with a little trolling mixed in. Among a series of photos and videos he posted over the weekend, slide No. 6 featured a brutal dig aimed at New York.
The slide showed a clip from Family Guy in which Carter Pewterschmidt blends and drinks a smoothie made of money, saying, “In about an hour, I’m gonna p-ss away 20 grand.” Glenn Quagmire replies, “What are you gonna bet on the Knicks?” A fitting roast, considering Knicks bettors watched their team drop two of three home games and lose the series in six despite being favored.
Ironically, Turner didn’t have his best statistical series—averaging 13.0 points and 3.2 rebounds on 56/32/71 shooting—but he still played a critical role with his rim protection and floor spacing as Indiana punched its ticket to the NBA Finals.
The moment is especially sweet for Turner, the Pacers’ longest-tenured player, who has spent years in trade rumors. Now, he’s not only stayed put—he’s helping lead Indiana to its first Finals appearance since 2000 and having plenty of fun along the way.
