[Saba Sports News] Following the recently concluded Brazilian Grand Prix, where Red Bull’s Max Verstappen secured the championship, McLaren driver Lando Norris is now 57 points behind Verstappen, leaving him with only theoretical chances of overtaking Verstappen for the Drivers’ Championship. After the race, Norris candidly admitted in a media interview that he no longer holds hope for the Drivers’ Championship, with his main goal now being to help McLaren secure the Constructors’ Championship. Norris stated, “This means that we cannot afford any mistakes in the last three races; even a small error could jeopardize the entire season’s efforts of the team, which is the last thing we want to see.” Norris’s performance in the 2024 season has been quite impressive, as he has frequently stood on the podium, showcasing strong competitiveness. In the Miami Grand Prix, Norris capitalized on a safety car opportunity to overtake Verstappen, clinching his first career race win in F1.
