[Saba Sports News] New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby delivered one of the most hardcore moments of the NBA season during Tuesday’s 128–113 win over the Dallas Mavericks.
Midway through the third quarter at Madison Square Garden, Anunoby took a shot to the face from Mavericks center Kai Jones. As play continued, blood began streaming from Anunoby’s nose—a sight quickly picked up by the Knicks’ broadcast team.
But instead of checking out, Anunoby simply wiped the blood away and kept going. Moments later, with blood on his jersey, he caught a pass in the corner and calmly drilled a three-pointer. He followed it up with another triple and a dunk just a few possessions later, completely unfazed.
Anunoby was in the middle of a scorching offensive night, and he clearly didn’t want anything to slow him down. He finished with 35 points on 15-of-24 shooting—his second-highest scoring output of the season.
Known for unintentionally viral moments (like the time he nearly ran over Anne Hathaway earlier this year), Anunoby added another one to the list—but this time, it was pure toughness and on-court grit that had fans buzzing.
