[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, during the last round of Serie A matches, police discovered knives, sticks, fireworks, and other prohibited items on a charter bus carrying AC Milan fans. In the 7th round of Serie A, AC Milan lost 1-2 to Fiorentina away. Reports indicate that during the match, local police searched two buses carrying AC Milan fans and found a batch of knives, extendable metal batons, fireworks devices, and some flagpoles that were improperly made of metal pipes, which could also be used as weapons if necessary. After the match, police identified all fans who traveled on these two buses and will further investigate whether these items were intended for violent confrontations between extreme fans of both sides. Under Italian law, if convicted, those responsible could face 6 months to 3 years in prison and fines ranging from €1,000 to €1,500. Notably, prior to AC Milan’s home match against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League group stage, local police in Milan stopped a group of extreme fans from Zagreb and searched their belongings, seizing a large number of knives, smoke bombs, and an extendable baton, resulting in the arrest of 14 extremists.
