[Saba Sports News] In June, Premier League clubs spent nearly £250 million on player transfers in just four days, surpassing the total expenditure during the entire January transfer window. According to British media reports, the Premier League will examine the player sales of each team to determine compliance with the Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR). Six clubs, namely Aston Villa, Chelsea, Leicester City, Newcastle United, Everton, and Nottingham Forest, may be at risk of exceeding the PSR’s three-year loss limit of £105 million. These clubs have been involved in high-profile transactions, such as the exchange of youth training players between Everton and Villa and player trades between Chelsea and Villa. Although these transactions did not violate the rules, they are seen as exploiting loopholes in the PSR regulations. The Premier League has warned clubs that transfers exceeding £1 million may be reviewed to prevent artificial inflation of transfer fees.
