[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Real Madrid has partnered with Artika Books to launch its most ambitious limited edition publication ever, titled “The Heart of White.” This art book weighs 14 kilograms, took five years to produce, and is limited to 2,998 copies, with a price tag of €5,990. At its core, it contains a fragment of a historical railing removed from the old Bernabéu Stadium, personally authenticated by club president Florentino Pérez.
Reports indicate that some items weigh significantly more than the scale suggests. “The Heart of White” weighs a total of 14 kilograms, but its true weight is something else: nearly 125 years of history, railings held by five generations of Madrid fans, a replica of Di Stéfano’s first contract, and a letter from King Alfonso XIII granting the “Royal” title. All of this is encapsulated in a work that transcends the definition of a book itself.
Mark Buhrer, the project’s global director, explained that the challenge was to “remove the artist’s part while retaining the DNA of what we extract, and applying it to a club like Real Madrid. You are not working with one person, but with millions, because there are millions of emotions involved.” The final result is a limited edition of 2,998 copies, hailed as the grandest publishing endeavor in the history of this white club.
