[Saba Sports News] Ever since the Red Bull Racing Team announced the contract extension with their driver Sergio Perez, Carlos Sainz and Ricardo Zonta, who were hoping to secure Red Bull seats, lost the opportunity. However, surprisingly, Perez’s performance after the contract renewal has been nothing short of disappointing. He has failed to reach the podium in seven consecutive races and even failed to score points in the recent F1 British Grand Prix. Currently, Red Bull is facing intense competition from teams trailing them in the constructors’ standings. One major reason for Red Bull Racing’s concern is their heavy reliance on Max Verstappen to score points, while Perez’s contribution has been limited. According to the latest media reports, Red Bull has once again given an ultimatum to Perez after the British Grand Prix. If Perez continues to deliver underwhelming performances and falls more than 100 points behind his teammate before the summer break, not only will his contract extension be in jeopardy, but he may also face the possibility of being replaced during this season.
