[Saba Sports News] Following Sebastien Loeb and Sebastien Ogier, two-time WRC world champion Kalle Rovanpera also got to experience driving an F1 car. This Wednesday, Rovanpera tested an older Red Bull F1 car equipped with a Renault V8 engine at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. This season, Rovanpera has been very active on the track, participating in several Porsche Carrera Cup races in addition to WRC events. Two months ago, Rovanpera expressed his desire to experience single-seater racing. With this wish fulfilled, Rovanpera appeared particularly happy and shared insights on the main differences between rally racing and F1 during an interview. He noted that rally cars have much more body movement compared to F1 cars; F1 cars are somewhat like go-karts with relatively little suspension movement but incredible grip. Additionally, F1 cars experience more lateral G-forces with more braking and cornering, highlighting significant physical differences between the two.
