[Saba Sports News] Iconic Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar honored the memory of Lata Mangeshkar, revered as the ‘Nightingale of India,’ on her death anniversary, February 06. Recognized as one of the most celebrated singers in Indian film history, Mangeshkar’s voice graced over 30,000 songs in 36 Indian and several foreign languages. Tendulkar, who shared a deeply affectionate relationship with Mangeshkar, referring to her as ‘Lata didi’ and viewing her as a mother figure, expressed his awe at her prolific output and lasting impact on Indian music.
On his X account, Tendulkar reflected on Mangeshkar’s unparalleled legacy, stating, “Lata didi recorded over 30,000 songs in her illustrious career, a feat that surpasses the lifetime listening of many people.
