[Saba Sports News] Current Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc recently updated his social media, posting photos of himself returning to Monaco with Williams driver Carlos Sainz. The noteworthy point was their mode of transport: not a plane, but a van. It is reported that they originally planned to fly back to Monaco together but had to divert to Genoa, Italy, due to weather. To get home as quickly as possible, the duo rented a small van for the journey, eventually arriving after a two-hour drive. The interaction between Sainz and Leclerc breaks the stereotype of F1 drivers having “surface harmony but private rivalry.” From being teammates at Ferrari to their current roles in different teams, the two still maintain a deep friendship. In the video shared by Leclerc on social media, Sainz’s hearty laughter contrasted amusingly with Leclerc’s helpless attempts to stop him. This unvarnished interaction proves the foundation of trust they share off the track.
