Sports News] According to recent reports from British media, there have been
allegations of racial abuse against Sam Kerr, an Australian international and
forward for the Chelsea Women’s Football Team. The accusation involves an
incident that took place on January 30, 2023, in Twickenham, where a police
officer was allegedly subjected to racial discrimination during the handling of
a taxi fare complaint. However, Sam Kerr has denied these allegations. The case
is currently being prepared for trial at Kingston Crown Court, and Sam Kerr is
expected to appear in Wimbledon District Court on February 1, 2025. Since
joining Chelsea Women’s Football Team in 2019, Sam Kerr has been a prolific scorer,
netting 99 goals in 128 games. She has also represented the Australian Women’s
Football Team in 125 games, scoring 64 goals and becoming their all-time
leading scorer.
