[Saba Sports News] Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, currently leading Punjab Kings in the IPL, is facing personal challenges following his separation from wife Ayesha Mukherjee. Dhawan recently opened up on social media about the emotional struggle he’s enduring due to being unable to meet his son Zoravar for over a year.
This personal revelation came after a Delhi court finalized his divorce on the grounds of “cruelty” by his estranged wife. Despite the court granting him visitation rights to meet Zoravar in both India and Australia, Dhawan’s reality seems to be fraught with challenges. In a touching Instagram post, he expressed his love and longing for his son, conveying his feelings of pride and his method of connecting through telepathy in the absence of direct contact.
“Even if I can’t connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy. I am so proud of you, and I know you’re doing great and growing up nicely.”
The court had ordered Ayesha to bring Zoravar to India for visits, including overnight stays and school holidays, but Dhawan’s post suggests difficulties in these arrangements. His message was a mix of love, advice, and hope, as he encouraged Zoravar to be naughty yet humble, compassionate, patient, and strong.
“Papa always misses you and loves you. He’s always positive, waiting with a smile for the time when we will meet again by the Grace of God. Be naughty but not destructive, be a giver, be humble, compassionate, patient, and strong,” he added.
Dhawan’s heartfelt message to his son, despite the physical separation, showcases his continuous paternal bond and love. He concludes his post with words of affection, eagerly awaiting the time they can reunite, and sending his love to Zoravar.
