[Saba Sports News] Renowned Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, who has been inactive recently, gave an interview to the media discussing Korean football and the recently concluded Asian Cup. When asked about the early elimination of the South Korean team, considered one of Asia’s top teams, Mourinho expressed bewilderment, as he believed the South Korean team was strong in Asia. However, Mourinho was surprised upon learning about Klinsmann’s dismissal when reporters brought it up. A group of Korean media representatives then stated, “We lack the right coach,” and collectively turned their gaze towards Mourinho, expressing hope that he might consider venturing into Asia. Mourinho, however, evaded the topic and shifted focus to other matters. According to the latest media reports, the Korean Football Association has narrowed down their coaching candidates to four individuals. Among them, American coach Jesse Alan Marsch holds the highest reputation, having previously coached South Korean international Huang Hee-chan. If all goes according to plan, Marsch will likely become the new coach of the South Korean national team, although there are still variables to be considered before the final contract is secured.
