[Saba Sports News] The list of badminton players representing the United States in the Paris Olympics has been released, revealing a unique pair of twins in the women’s doubles category. Annie Xu and Kerry Xu, the twins, share a striking resemblance, making it challenging for opponents to assess their individual strengths and weaknesses during matches. Annie is the older sister, born two minutes ahead of Kerry. Besides those two minutes of separation, they have spent most of their lives together, doing various activities and developing a deep understanding of each other. They honed their badminton skills by participating in competitions and winning championships in Taiwan, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and Canada. However, they had to put badminton aside during their college years while pursuing an accounting major at the University of California, Berkeley, due to time constraints. After college, their passion for badminton reignited, leading them to pick up their rackets again. Despite the difficulties, they decided to dedicate 110 percent of their energy and time to chase their Olympic dreams. Eventually, the twins secured a silver medal at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, qualifying them for the Paris Olympics.
