The European Football Supporters’ Association, an organization dedicated to advocating for the rights of fans across Europe, issued a statement condemning the high pricing of World Cup tickets and expressed shock at FIFA’s outrageous prices imposed on the most loyal fans for next year’s World Cup.According to a gradually released and confidential pricing list from FIFA, the tickets allocated to various national football associations are reaching astronomical numbers, and these tickets are usually distributed to the most loyal fans through official fan groups or loyalty reward programs. Current information from the European Football Supporters’ Association indicates that if a fan follows their team from the first match to the final through tickets distributed by their national member association, the minimum cost will reach €5,800, nearly five times the price during the Qatar World Cup.Fan groups across Europe have strongly protested, as the lowest-priced tickets will not be available to the most loyal fans via their national associations. FIFA has decided to reserve a small number of fourth-category tickets for public sale and has implemented a dynamic pricing system, which fan organizations have labeled as a “huge betrayal.”
