[Saba Sports News] The rims at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas were unkind to Washington Wizards rookie Alex Sarr during his team’s 82-80 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
Sarr, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, had a historically bad NBA Summer League game. He took 15 shots, including seven from beyond the arc, and missed every single one. Sarr also went 0/2 at the free-throw line, finishing with zero points.
Fans on X were left in disbelief at Sarr’s poor shooting performance. Entering the game, Sarr was shooting just 30.8% from the field, and his percentage worsened after this game.
Despite his offensive struggles, Sarr made a positive impact on defense, grabbing nine rebounds and blocking three shots. He has recorded nine blocks through three summer league games.
