[Saba Sports News] Recently, Red Bull’s Yuki Tsunoda was eliminated in the first stage of Sprint Qualifying for the F1 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. In the closing moments of SQ1, chaos ensued on track as numerous drivers fought for position and raced against the clock to cross the start-finish line to begin their final flying laps. Tsunoda, along with Esteban Ocon, Oliver Bearman, and Gabriel Bortoleto, failed to do so in time, resulting in their immediate elimination from Friday’s session. When asked what happened, Tsunoda said: “I don’t know. We need to check properly. It’s extremely frustrating because after I left… it was out of my control. We could have controlled it, but it was more down to them, rather than me managing the time. It’s quite shocking.” Furthermore, Liam Lawson, driving his car, got caught up in the chaos and nearly collided with Tsunoda at Turn 2, an move that drew criticism from the Red Bull driver. Regarding this, Tsunoda stated: “That’s more like his standard, to be honest. I don’t expect anything more from him. It felt more like the timing to exit the pit lane was completely wrong. I don’t know what happened there. Something went wrong, and I didn’t get a chance to set a lap time, so it’s a real shame.”
