The video depicted Turkish coach Vincenzo Montella taking away Arda Guler’s training vest and handing it to someone else, instructing Guler to train alone. This incident led many fans to believe that Guler was treated unfairly by the coach, generating widespread concern. However, the Turkish Football Association has issued a statement refuting these rumors. They clarified that Guler had experienced groin pain prior to training and had reached a consensus with the coaching staff to undergo separate training in order to better prepare for the match against the Czech Republic. The circulating video does not depict Guler’s training session. Guler, born in February 2005, grew up in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, and Istanbul, the largest city. With his exceptional performance, he was recruited by La Liga team Real Madrid last year. The young Guler has been selected to represent Turkey in this European Championship. In the opening match against Georgia, he scored a goal that helped Turkey secure a 3-1 victory, earning him the player of the match.
