[Saba Sports News] Tyrese Haliburton has ruffled the feathers of yet another retired NBA star.
Appearing on Gil’s Arena this week, five-time All-Star Tim Hardaway Sr. went on an expletive-laden rant about the Indiana Pacers guard, calling him out for talking too much trash. Hardaway didn’t hold back, saying he wanted to “f–k up Haliburton” and “bust his a–.”
“If I go back and … suit up, I wanna go f–k up Haliburton,” Hardaway ranted. “He talks so much s–t. I wanna bust his motherf–king … I wanna bust his a–. He think he all that.”
Haliburton wasted no time responding, taking to X on Friday with a cryptic clapback, “Tell the world the real reason you feel this way, Tim.”
While it’s unclear what sparked Hardaway’s beef, some speculate it may be tied to his son, Tim Hardaway Jr., who plays for the Pistons—a team with a growing rivalry against Haliburton’s Pacers. Others theorized it could be linked to Haliburton’s cousin, former NBA guard Eddie Jones, who was once Hardaway’s teammate on the Miami Heat, possibly reviving an old grudge.
For Haliburton, this isn’t his first run-in with a former All-Star. Last season, he found himself in a public feud with Wally Szczerbiak over criticism of his play—though that dispute has since been squashed.
