[Saba Sports News] According to the latest media reports, current Red Bull Racing F1 driver Max Verstappen, along with his father, is considering an investment in MotoGP and is looking to acquire a team. It is reported that they have inquired about the willingness to sell 100% of the shares from Honda’s and Aprilia’s satellite teams, LCR and Trackhouse. However, negotiations are still in early stages. Investing in a MotoGP team could be part of his future career planning. Verstappen has previously stated that qualifying has an excessive impact on race outcomes in F1, whereas in MotoGP, it’s still possible to win even from a lower qualifying position; he appreciates this more suspenseful and competitive characteristic of MotoGP. We believe that operating a MotoGP team requires significant capital and a professional management team. Although Verstappen has accumulated considerable wealth and experience in F1, investing in a MotoGP team still presents numerous challenges, such as team formation, rider selection, and building a technical team.
