Sports News] According to reports from British media, Gianni Infantino, the
President of FIFA, has received a 33% increase in his basic salary, which was
previously undisclosed by the FIFA subcommittee. The decision has raised
Infantino’s basic salary to approximately £2.3 million. This salary increase
translates to a 33% raise, and it is estimated that Infantino’s total salary
last year exceeded £3.6 million. The relevant financial documents have been
approved by the FIFA Council and distributed to football officials worldwide.
In 2022, Infantino’s basic salary stood at £1.7 million, with bonuses amounting
to £1.46 million, totaling approximately £3.2 million. The salary increase took
effect last year, with Infantino’s basic salary reaching around £2.3 million
and bonuses around £1.5 million. Until 2027, Infantino will receive an annual
basic salary of approximately £2.3 million, in addition to yearly bonuses. When
Infantino was elected as FIFA president in 2016, his annual salary was reported
to be £1.3 million.
