Dan Bethell, a 28-year-old from Bath, UK, who has cerebral palsy, felt he was “terrible” when he first started playing badminton and thought his dream of participating in the Paralympics would “never come true.”
Paralympic champion Nitesh Kumar expressed frustration over a lack of recognition and support, publicly criticizing the Badminton Association of India (BAI) and calling for the management of para-badminton to be transferred to the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI).
