Carlos Sainz

According to MOTORSPORT WEEK, Sauber’s new Chief Operating Officer Mattia Binotto intends to sign F2 rookie and McLaren junior driver Gabriel Bortoleto, pairing him with German driver Nico Hulkenberg for the 2025 season.

Prior to the start of the season, Carlos Sainz was informed that Lewis Hamilton would replace him at Ferrari. Despite not having a team seat for the following season, Sainz has received offers from several teams.

In a recent interview, F1 Mercedes team leader Toto Wolff expressed disappointment with the performance of young driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

With seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton joining the Ferrari F1 team, Carlos Sainz will lose his seat as a Ferrari driver, as his contract with Ferrari will expire at the end of this year.
