[Saba Sports News] In the
ongoing Europa League group stage, Finnish team Helsinki is set to host
Scottish team Aberdeen in a match. However, due to weather conditions, the game
takes place in snowy conditions. During the match, there was a temporary
suspension to clear the accumulated snow on the pitch. However, an astonishing
incident occurred in the stands during this time. Several Aberdeen fans started
pushing and throwing snowballs towards the field, and unfortunately, one of the
Helsinki players was hit by a snowball. This incident led to further delays in
the match.
The Helsinki
fans, witnessing their player being hit, became angry, and a snowball fight
ensued between the two sets of fans. The match had to be prolonged to allow
security personnel to intervene and bring an end to the snowball fight.
Eventually, the match ended in a 2-2 draw, with both teams securing the third
and fourth positions in the group, thereby being eliminated from the
competition.
