[Saba Sports News] The ongoing drama of the Phoenix Suns takes another twist, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic. Kevin Durant, a prominent Suns player, will not participate in Monday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers due to discomfort in his right hamstring.
This setback occurs shortly after Bradley Beal, another key player for Phoenix, rejoined the team following an ankle injury. Beal had also previously been sidelined due to a back strain.
Compounding these challenges, both Durant and Devin Booker have missed games this season because of ankle issues. Consequently, the Suns’ renowned trio of Durant, Beal, and Booker have played together in only four out of a potential 31 games this year—a figure that will remain the same with Durant’s absence in the upcoming game against the Blazers.
Durant’s omission from Monday’s game might be a cautious move, especially since the Suns, with a 17-15 record, are playing their second game in two consecutive days. However, given the propensity for hamstring injuries to persist and the trio’s seemingly unfortunate injury history, this latest development is unlikely to reassure Suns fans.
