Sports News] According to a recent announcement on the official website of the
NFL, it has been confirmed that the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, which is the
home of Real Madrid in La Liga, will host the first NFL regular season game in
2025. This news has generated significant attention since its announcement. The
Bernabeu Stadium holds great importance in Madrid, and when the new stadium was
constructed, Real Madrid officials expressed their intention to host a variety
of sports events in addition to football. The NFL choosing the Bernabeu as a
venue indicates progress in their plans. The reconstruction of the new Bernabeu
Stadium incurred a cost of approximately 800 million euros, exceeding the
initial budget. However, considering the stadium’s size, significance, and the
enhanced experience it offers to fans and teams, the investment is deemed worthwhile.
The new Bernabeu Stadium boasts an expanded seating capacity of over 80,000, a
new roof, retractable turf, and a large underground greenhouse to maintain the
field in optimal condition.
