[Saba Sports News] Former South African cricket star Makhaya Ntini recently showed his fondness for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans. Ntini, who played two seasons for CSK in the Indian Premier League (IPL), took seven wickets in nine matches, including a hat-trick against Kolkata Knight Riders.
This gesture occurred after the second Test between South Africa and India in Cape Town, where Ntini met with Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. Both played a key role for CSK during the 2008-09 IPL season.
In a social media video, Ashwin invited Ntini to greet the CSK fans, leading Ntini to unexpectedly sing the popular Hindi song “Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein.”
In the recent Test series, India made a strong comeback in the second match, evening the series 1-1 with a seven-wicket win. South Africa, after choosing to bat first, were dismissed for just 55 runs, with Mohammed Siraj achieving a career-best 6/15. Despite India’s struggles with the bat, managing only 153 in their innings, South Africa couldn’t capitalize and were limited to 176 in their second innings. India pursued the modest target of 79 runs, clinching the victory in what became the second shortest match in Test cricket history.
