[Saba Sports News] Drake Maye, a lifelong North Carolinian before being drafted by the New England Patriots, is already embracing Boston’s sports scene.
On Tuesday, Maye attended Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics at TD Garden. The rookie quarterback sat courtside, blending in with his Jayson Tatum jersey. He was shown on the big screen, proudly displaying the No. 0 jersey.
Maye also celebrated a clutch three-pointer by the Celtics, and a viral photo captured him in the background holding up the three-point symbol as Jaylen Brown took the shot.
While Boston fans will ultimately judge Maye by his performance with the Patriots, his enthusiastic support for the local basketball team is a great way to win them over. He certainly enjoyed an exciting game, as the Celtics defeated the Pacers 133-128 in overtime after a thrilling regulation finish.
