[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Spanish winger Lamine Yamal was spotted pushing a shopping cart like an ordinary customer at a Walmart in Georgia, with shoppers around seemingly completely unaware that a World Cup star was among them. The 18-year-old Barcelona winger wore casual clothes instead of Spain’s training kit. Spain’s team base is in Chattanooga, Tennessee, roughly 18 miles away from this Walmart. The clip went viral on social media after being shared by Fox Soccer. In the footage, Yamal shopped calmly and left undisturbed. Yamal was sidelined by injury earlier this season. Barcelona have requested Spain not to rush his return. He will be limited to no more than 15 minutes of play in the opening group game against Cape Verde on June 15. Six days later against Saudi Arabia, his playing time will be capped between 45 and 60 minutes. Ideally, the restrictions will be lifted for the match against Uruguay on June 27.
The editor believes that this may indicate that the World Cup has not swept across the United States with the expected fervor. A large number of tickets remain unsold, and FIFA has even resorted to giving them away for free to clear inventory.
