[Saba Sports News] Leicester City officially announced a few days ago that 37-year-old Jamie Vardy has extended his contract with the team for one year. He will continue competing in the Premier League with the team next season. Since joining Leicester City from Fleetwood Town in 2012, Vardy has made 464 appearances for the club. He has won the Premier League, FA Cup, Community Shield, and two league titles with the team. Vardy currently holds the fourth-highest number of appearances in Leicester City’s history. In the 2023/24 season, he scored 20 goals for the club in all competitions, bringing his total to 190 goals, ranking him third on the team’s all-time leading scorer list. Vardy has been instrumental in creating many iconic moments for Leicester City as the core of the team over the years. With his contract extension, he will embark on his 13th season with Leicester City, continuing to leave a mark at the King Power Stadium. The club will also begin preparations for the new Premier League season when the players return in July.
