[Saba Sports News] LeBron James’ agent, Rich Paul, has commented on the possibility of LeBron playing alongside his son Bronny in the NBA. Paul dismissed the idea, emphasizing that LeBron and Bronny’s futures are not connected.
“LeBron is off this idea of having to play with Bronny,” Paul told Jonathan Givony of ESPN. “If he does, he does. But if he doesn’t, he doesn’t. There’s no guarantee that if the Lakers draft Bronny, LeBron will re-sign. If that were the case, I would push them to take him at 17. We don’t need leverage. The Lakers can draft Bronny, and LeBron might still not re-sign. LeBron is not going to Phoenix for a minimum deal. We can squash that now.”
Paul also downplayed the significance of Bronny’s lack of workouts, noting he uses a similar strategy with other clients, only arranging workouts with teams genuinely interested in Bronny.
For a while, there was speculation that any team drafting Bronny might attract LeBron.
However, this idea seems to be fading, as indicated by recent reports. Paul’s statements suggest he has no vested interest in uniting the James family on the same team.
