[Saba Sports News] The Golden State Warriors have added notable names to their coaching staff.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Warriors plan to hire Terry Stotts and Jerry Stackhouse as assistant coaches. Stackhouse, a two-time All-Star, began coaching in 2015 after an 18-year NBA career. He has served as head coach for the Toronto Raptors’ G League team and Vanderbilt, where he was named SEC Coach of the Year in 2023 but was fired after a disappointing 9-23 season.
Stotts, 66, brings over 15 years of NBA assistant coaching experience, including a championship with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. He has also been a head coach for the Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Portland Trail Blazers, with a record of 517-486 and nine playoff appearances. Stotts recently resigned as an assistant with the Bucks a few weeks into the 2023-2024 season, bringing his extensive knowledge and experience to Golden State.
