[Saba Sports News] The Cleveland Cavaliers have fully committed to their star big man Evan Mobley.
On Saturday, news broke that Mobley agreed to a five-year, $224 million extension with the Cavaliers. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal includes incentives that could increase the total to $269 million. This extension comes just weeks after the Cavaliers secured All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell with a new deal.
Last season, Mobley averaged 15.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game. In his three years with the Cavaliers, he has established himself as a versatile defensive force. However, the 6’11” forward still has room to grow offensively, and Cleveland is likely betting on his potential in that area.
The Cavaliers may not be finished making moves, as they have been recently linked to a former All-Star still searching for a team this offseason.
