[Saba Sports News] As India continue to grapple with injuries, all focus lands on Virat Kohli, who withdrew from of the first two England Tests citing personal reasons.
A few days before the series-opener, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had informed about Kohli’s unavailability for the first Two Tests and refused to divulge on the reasons behind this, requesting privacy.
In a Cricbuzz report, it has now been revealed that Kohli is out of India. While the third Test match, which is scheduled to commence on February 15 in Rajkot, is still a lot of days away, doubts persist on Kohli’s availability.
India have already been hit with quite a few injury concerns. KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja went to NCA after the first Test where they injured themselves. Mohammad Shami, who is undergoing an ankle treatment, is likely to remain absent for the whole series.
India lost the first fixture by 28 runs as England claimed a series lead of 1-0. The second Test begins on February 2 in Visakhapatnam.
