[Saba Sports News] Since the start of the new Bundesliga season, Werder Bremen midfielder Naby Keita has not played a single minute. Werder Bremen’s official statement has indicated that Keita is not part of the team’s plans for this season. It is reported that the transfer of Naby Keita to Turkish club Hatayspor has fallen through, and the player is currently without a team to play for. The 29-year-old Guinean midfielder joined Werder Bremen on a free transfer from Liverpool in the summer transfer window of 2023, while the transfer fee for Keita when he was signed by Liverpool in 2018 was as high as €60 million. During his five years at Liverpool, Naby Keita suffered over twenty injuries, missing more than 630 days in total. After joining Werder Bremen, Keita continued to struggle with injuries, playing only five matches last season with a total of 107 minutes on the pitch. At the end of the season, Keita chose to refuse to play due to dissatisfaction with not being a starter, ultimately facing internal suspension and fines. Keita’s contract with Werder Bremen has nine months left, and his current market value is only €2 million, far from his peak value of €65 million.
