[Saba Sports News] Jayson Tatum might not be the only NBA champion forward feeling slighted by Steve Kerr.
Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon shared during a recent Media Day interview that he was expecting a call to join Team USA for the upcoming Paris Olympics, but that call never came. Gordon later elaborated on social media, revealing that Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who also coached Team USA, had asked him last season if he wanted to play for the national team, but there was no follow-up. Now, Gordon is using this as motivation to work toward making the 2028 team.
Though Gordon, known for his defense and athleticism, may not have been a top pick with stars like Tatum, LeBron James, Anthony Edwards, and Kevin Durant already in the mix, his skillset could have complemented the ball-dominant players on the roster.
Regardless, Gordon feels misled by Kerr and is now focused on making the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, where a different coach will be leading Team USA.
