[Saba Sports News] Former F1 Haas team principal Guenther Steiner recently discussed the topic of Red Bull driver Max Verstappen being punished by the FIA for using foul language to describe his car during a press conference. He supported Verstappen and opposed the FIA’s punishment, stating that there are many incompetent people within the FIA who focus on trivial matters while ignoring truly important issues. Steiner stated, “The FIA has lost its past humility; they no longer take responsibility for their mistakes, which is definitely not a good situation. The final race in 2021 is a typical example; from any angle, this race was an absolutely poor performance in terms of regulation.” I believe that the consistency of FIA’s penalties has been a subject of controversy and needs to be addressed.
