[Saba Sports News] LaMelo Ball had a heated exchange with Thanasis Antetokounmpo during Saturday’s matchup between the Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks.
In the second half, Ball drilled a three-pointer from the right wing and immediately turned to taunt Thanasis, who was sitting courtside.
Thanasis, the older brother of Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, is no longer on Milwaukee’s roster after tearing his Achilles earlier this year. The 32-year-old, who was part of the Bucks’ 2021 championship team, now attends games as a spectator. V
ideo footage suggested Thanasis had been chirping from the sidelines before Ball’s three-pointer.
Ball had a stellar game, putting up a career-high 50 points along with five rebounds and 10 assists, keeping the Bucks on edge throughout.
However, Milwaukee ultimately secured a 124-119 victory, softening the sting for Thanasis, who’s no stranger to on-court banter after some memorable moments last season.
