[Saba Sports News] Japanese media reports that the world-ranked 4th pair of Matsuuyama Nami and Shida Chiharu will not compete together at the Malaysia Open and the India Open badminton tournaments scheduled for January 2025. Shida Chiharu will team up with Misaki Matsutomo from the BIPROGY club for these events. Matsuuyama Nami will take this time to adjust, focusing on rest and recovery. Notably, the partnership between Shida Chiharu and Misaki Matsutomo is only registered for these two tournaments, with no long-term plans for future competitions. In response, Shida Chiharu updated her social media, expressing great respect for Misaki Matsutomo, stating that she received significant help from her during training. She considers it a valuable opportunity to compete alongside a senior and is determined to give her all. Additionally, Shida Chiharu thanked fans for their continuous encouragement and support, stating that she will focus on performing well in every match and fulfilling her responsibilities. Matsuuyama Nami also commented, thanking everyone for their support and love, explaining that the reason for their separation is her need for rest, and she promised to return after a short break, looking forward to teaming up with Shida Chiharu again next year.
