Reports indicate that Valencia fans shouted at Kubo, “Chinese! Open your eyes!” In response, Real Sociedad issued a statement condemning the racial discrimination and other forms of insulting remarks directed at their players from the stands at the Mestalla Stadium. They made it clear that these individuals do not represent the great image of Valencia Club. They also stated that in football and sports, any lack of respect, abuse, or incitement to hatred should not be tolerated. Real Sociedad will continue to firmly condemn such behavior, as they did by promptly reporting the incident to La Liga after the match, and they hope for no recurrence of such incidents like what happened yesterday. Let us work together to build a better society. This is not the first time Valencia fans have been involved in a racial discrimination incident. The most notorious was during a match against Real Madrid in 2023, where many Valencia fans racially abused Vinicius Junior.
