[Saba Sports News] Tensions had already begun to simmer before the chaos fully erupted. Around the nine-minute mark, Donte DiVincenzo was heard taunting Pistons center Isaiah Stewart after a missed floater.
Moments later, DiVincenzo drew a foul on the other end, prompting Stewart to confront him as the Timberwolves guard hit the floor. Though Naz Reid and Rudy Gobert stepped in to calm things down, Stewart stayed heated and was hit with a technical foul.
The real chaos unfolded two possessions later. Stewart wasn’t initially involved in the scuffle between DiVincenzo, Holland, and Reid—but after his earlier run-in with Donte and Reid, he jumped into the fray, escalating the situation.
The fallout was messy: DiVincenzo, Reid, and assistant coach Pablo Prigioni were ejected from the Timberwolves’ side. The Pistons saw Isaiah Stewart, Holland, Marcus Sasser, and head coach JB Bickerstaff all tossed from the game.
Detroit led by six at halftime, but Minnesota—despite missing two of its top five scorers—stormed back in the second half to claim a 123-104 victory.
