[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Israeli football player Yossi Benayoun, who has played for Liverpool and Arsenal, recently experienced a bomb attack at his home, fortunately with no casualties. Reports state that Benayoun and his family were at home when the attacker, riding a motorcycle, threw a bomb at the entrance of Benayoun’s home and then fled the scene. The bomb explosion caused a fire, and police and firefighters quickly arrived at the scene, extinguishing the fire rapidly. Authorities are investigating the incident. After the attack, Benayoun expressed shock: “This is definitely a mistake; our home was not the intended target of the bomb attack. Initially, I thought it was a gas cylinder explosion, so we called the fire department. It was only after the police arrived and found bomb remnants that we realized what had happened.” The attack caused property damage but, luckily, no injuries. Benayoun, now 44 years old, played for several Premier League clubs including Liverpool, West Ham, Chelsea, and Arsenal, making nearly 200 appearances in the league. In 2019, Benayoun officially announced his retirement.
