[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Arsenal fans had prepared a large tifo for the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain, but due to the design not being approved by the club, donations of 12,000 pounds from fans were also returned. The supporters originally hoped to create a special atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium next Tuesday night, as Arsenal will be playing in the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time in 15 years. However, three proposed designs from the Ashburton Group (an Arsenal supporter organization) were not approved by the club. The designs were inspired by the popular Netflix series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), with two of the tifos having their titles changed to “Mikel’s House” (La Casa de Mikel). Another set of designs included chessboard elements, with one message reading “They fall one by one,” while the other had no text. The chessboard elements appeared to reference a banner displayed by Real Madrid fans before last week’s quarter-final second leg match at the Bernabéu. Unfortunately, the Ashburton Group’s submission was not approved. A few weeks ago, they successfully displayed a giant tifo of Thierry Henry celebrating after scoring in Madrid in 2006 during the first leg against Real Madrid.
