[Saba Sports News] According to UK media reports, Leicester City is facing a points deduction in the Championship. It has been difficult to find a new manager willing to take over. On Friday, Leicester City’s head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy stepped down, just 33 days before the end of the season and 68 days after the club confirmed their relegation. After van Nistelrooy’s long tenure, Sean Dyche and Danny Röhl, the outgoing manager of Sheffield Wednesday, have emerged as top candidates to replace him. However, Leicester’s board has found it hard to convince potential managers to take the job. Leicester may face a points deduction in the Championship because the Premier League has accused them of breaching profit and sustainability rules (PSR). At the same time, the club’s sponsor, King Power Group, is in financial crisis, having accumulated an astonishing loss of £450 million. Meanwhile, club legend Jamie Vardy has left Leicester this summer, and Wilfred Ndidi is expected to depart as well, with eight players’ contracts entering their final year. With limited funds available for strengthening the squad, it will also be difficult for the new manager to attract new signings.
